Erin Van Buren, the daughter of the deceased Santa Claus at the Janss Mall, has taken over her father's business, Crazy California Clowns, which has operated for about 30 years. Erin said she did this because at her father's funeral, many people told her to keep the business and his legacy going.

Heading to a new parlor
Jessica Boren leaves Sunday for Abu Dhabi of the United Arab Emirates where New York University has opened a campus. She was one of 188 students accepted out of the more than 9,000 who applied from all over the world. She grins and says she is probably the only student who was raised in a tattoo parlor.
